Ukraine, Kharkiv 24/02/2022: Ukrainian people standing in bomb shelter during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

A Ukrainian company has created a Free Image Library to Combat Russian Propaganda.

Depositphotos, a Kyiv, Ukraine-based content platform that provides stock photos, graphics and videos, is trying to help everyone — including Russians — combat Russian propaganda.

The Say No to War image collection has been created by Vista’s Kyiv-based Depositphotos and VistaCreate, as Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine. Anyone can download the stock photographs for their blogs, publications, social media or even design projects and help show the world the impact of war inside the Eastern European country

In an email to Russian-based customers, Vadim Nekhai, vice president of VistaCreate and Depositphotos, wrote: “For many years, we have been creating a product that helps you develop your business and make ideas come true. And we are Ukrainians. Now we have something to ask you. Right now, a full-scale war is taking place in Ukraine. Russia is bombing residential areas, hospitals, orphanages and schools in our cities. Government-controlled Russian media continue to lie about a ‘special military operation in Donbas’ while civilians across the country are being killed and thousands of people have already lost their homes. We see it with our own eyes, as most of our team is located in Ukraine.”

Ukraine’s creative industry is asking talent worldwide to join their campaign to end the bloodshed and avert global disaster

A group of agency professionals and freelancers from Ukraine’s creative industry has issued a weighty brief to the global creative community: help prevent a third world war.

The Prevent WW3 project calls on creative specialists from around the world — including those in Russia who do not support the war — to use their skills to help Ukraine in its war against Russia and “support peace and freedom.”

Project WW3 has not named the founders behind the project. “There are no credits when it comes to winning the war,” the spokesperson explained.

“We hope that more and more creative agencies and freelancers will join The Brief. Struggling with briefs is their everyday routine, but The Brief is a real struggle for Ukraine, Europe and freedom itself,” the spokesperson added.

People who want to get involved with the Prevent WW3 project can email preventww3inua@gmail.com.

Attached above is a document we designed here at Cogfree to share the initiative by Depositphotos. We as a creative agency have been long time clients of Depositphotos and have benefited greatly from their products, so this initiative from them really hit home.
